Just been up allotment, cor it were 'ot!
I harvested by first pickings of the season. I'm way behind last year. I had all sorts by this time last year. I'm veeery please with my lolla rosso, it somehow looks a more deep red than the stuff you get in the shops!
Wow - they look super-healthy! I have never had much luck with salad leaves am a bit too lax at watering I think. Have just noticed you have the same tea and coffee caddies as me! Such good taste ;)
He he heee! They are the creme de la creme of tea caddies! I cheated with my salad (shhhh), I bought them as little plants from the garden centre a couple of months ago.

oh, I WISH we'd planted broad beans again, looking at yours...these look great.
Very impressive aren't they? Years back we tried growing runner beans in the back garden, but the dog ate all the ones he could reach!
The purple of the blog title really picks out the deep red/purple of the leaves and all the glittery stuff is a great contrast to the natural stuff!
Are those beans, or peas? I've been picking peas today - am weeks away from beans...
My peas have bean (fnar fnar) a disaster! I have used 3 packs of seeds and not one, not ONE has germinated...tsk.
Still, I'm enjoying my beans!
xx
The BEANS are gorgeous !
This picture makes me feel as if I could reach right out and grab one to crunch on.
They look delicious. My mouth waters....
